Privacy Policy
Orbari ("Orbari," "we," "us") is a personal relationship manager for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This policy explains how Orbari handles your information.
Information you create
The people, notes, catch-ups, relationships, important dates, custom fields, and any recordings you add are stored locally on your device (using Apple's SwiftData). This content stays on your device unless you choose to enable sync.
On-device intelligence
When you dictate or paste notes, Orbari uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to extract people, dates, and details. This processing happens entirely on your device. Your notes are not sent to us or to any third party for processing.
Microphone and speech
If you record a catch-up, audio is captured and transcribed on your device and used only to create your notes. It is not uploaded. Orbari requests microphone access only when you start a recording.
Optional sync (your own iCloud / folders)
Sync is off by default and optional. If you enable it:
- iCloud: your data is stored in your own iCloud account and synced across your devices by Apple, governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it.
- Markdown folder / Obsidian: if you choose a folder, Orbari writes plain-Markdown files to the location you pick. Those files are under your control.
What we collect
Nothing. Orbari has no servers that receive your personal data, and the app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
In-app purchases
Orbari's one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple provides us only aggregate, anonymized sales information.
Your control and rights
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control at all times:
- View, edit, and delete any entry inside the app.
- Export everything to plain Markdown whenever you like.
- Delete the app to remove its local data from that device. For synced data, manage it in your device's iCloud settings.
Since we do not hold your personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, or erase on request. Rights under the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and the Australian Privacy Act are satisfied by this on-device model; for iCloud-stored data, Apple is the relevant data processor.
Children's privacy
Orbari is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — in fact, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
International users
Your data stays on your device and, if you enable sync, in your Apple iCloud account via Apple's infrastructure. We do not transfer your data internationally because we never receive it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes here and update the effective date above.
